KIDEPO
NATIONAL PARK

From savannahs to mountains, Kidepo National Park has it all. Explore a stunning landscape of rolling hills, lush valleys, and dramatic escarpments. Offer you the chance to spot lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and more in their natural habitat

Due to their distance from Kampala, few tourists venture as far as Pian Upe and Kidepo, but it is precisely this isolation that makes the journey so spectacular and memorable.

Between acacia-dotted savannahs and majestic mountains, Kidepo occupies a unique territory on the borders of South Sudan and Kenya. Its jagged peaks and the vastness of its semi-arid plains make this park one of the most impressive landscapes in East Africa.

The strength of Kidepo lies not only in its remarkable list of wildlife but in the certainty of spotting them, regardless of the time of year. For this reason, it is consistently ranked among Africa’s top 10 parks by travel authorities such as CNN and TripAdvisor.

During a sunrise safari, the savannah awakens to reveal a fauna of rare richness: buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, as well as majestic kudus and discreet Bright's gazelles. With a bit of luck, you may cross paths with African wild dogs, seeking refuge here when the sun in Sudan becomes too intense. At nightfall, the atmosphere shifts and gives way to action: it is the perfect time to observe lions and leopards on the hunt.

Finally, Kidepo is one of only two parks in the country where zebras and Rothschild giraffes coexist. It is also famous for its population of 475 bird species, including the largest land bird in the world: the ostrich!
