MOUNT ELGON NATIONAL PARK
Hike through lush rainforests, spot unique wildlife, and marvel at stunning waterfalls in Mount Elgon National Park.
Mount Elgon National Park is home to a sleeping giant: it boasts the largest surface base in the world for a solitary volcano. This massive mountain, located on the border between Uganda and Kenya, spreads over 4,000 km², a feature that makes it a top destination on the bucket list of mountaineers worldwide.

The Ugandan side of the park has recently been developed to offer hiking experiences focused on self-discovery. There are now options for every profile: from accessible trails for those who prefer gentle walks to technical challenges for seasoned hikers. The latter can scale the mountain all the way to its highest peak (Wagagai) by following the historic trail used by the first explorers.

The three-day trekking experience is an intense journey through raw and untamed nature. The route is characterized by steep paths and fast-flowing river tributaries, fed by the crater lakes nestled at the summits.
